    Trip to Brighton

BRIGHTON ... is known to be a tourist spot which is famous for the museum, beach, shopping and landscape views.
A lot of tourist goes there during summer to chill out.

We all went together (with few of my friends here in O2) on one sunny / rainy morning of Saturday, July 22nd 2006. It was a nice trip which is worth to mention here. The team comprises of Sunitha, Rama, Varsha, Salila, Ponmani, Jesuraj, Kiran, Vinoth and myself.
We went from the Slough Railway station at 9.30 AM and got down at London Paddington. From there we took another tube train and got down at station, Victoria. There was a direct train to Brighton from there. Its an hour journey to reach Brighton from Victoria and altogether its two hour journey from Slough.

Reached Brighton ... welcomed with heavy rain ...

Even though the weather looks very sunny in the morning and everything was fine till we reach Brighton, but once we reached the brighton station, it starts raining (not drizzling ...). Even though the BBC weather forecasted (the predicted temp on that day was 26 to 27 degree C) that there will be little chance of shower, but its not expected as the rain continued till another one hour.

    Brighton Museum ...

Our Tour co-ordinator was Rama, and since it was raining, we changed our plans and went to Museum. Brighton museum is worth seeing once as it reminds the roman epic who ruled england/scotland. A Hindu shrine in the World Art gallery is also there created with the local Gujarati community. Museum entrance is on the Royal Pavilion gardens with a spacious foyer and shop. Altogether the Museum and Art Gallery shows the nationally and locally important collections there. We all took few photos there and moved towards the Beach ...as the rain stopped unexpectedly like the way it started.

    Brighton Beach

Usually you can see pure sand on the beache shores. But Brighton Beach doesnt have that, and says thats the speciality for this beach...

We had our lunch there as Fish & Chips is a special food there. The food was very tasty and enough to satisfy appetite.
We spent some time there and few of us even had a bath there in the sea.

    Brighton Peer

Comprises of casinoes and rides. Spent few hours there. From Brighton Peer, we can have a good view of the Brighton Sea.

    Devils Dyke

We went to Devils Dyke in the evening after spenting an hour to find the bus which goes there. We went to Church street (which is a stop next to station), and took the bus to Devils dyke.

This place is known with its landscape views, hills, deep forests and greeneries. Nice place to have a photo shooting session and none of us missed that opportunity.

We were back in Slough at late night or better say, 12.30 AM on next day (sunday). Overall it was a trip which was fabulous, entertaining and enjoyable.
